  10. Long: Yamaha XG DEMO  Standard  MIDI   Files   (SMF)   both  file formats 0
  11. and 1  All  files  have  been  edited  to  be  General  MIDI  (GM) Standard
  12. compatible and contain SYSEX  data   for  GM  On  together with the correct
  13. Contollers and PGM  parameters  for  the  Roland  GM  Standard.. These were
  14. edited using Music-X V2.0 on an Amiga 2000HD,  5Mb RAM, 540Mb SCSI internal
  15. HD and 730Mb external SCSI HD  and  then  converted  back to SMFs using the
  16. Music-X-to-MIDI converter which comes bundled with Music-X V2.0.. A Korg i3
  17. Interactive Music Workstation was used  for sequencing/re-configuring of GM
  18. parameters within each Music-X/SMF  file..  Therefore,  the XG setup within
  19. each file has been removed  and  General  MIDI (GM) specific parameters has
  20. been implemented! A  Yamaha Corporation Copyright (c) message and  date has
  21. been embedded within each SMF to respect the author/s of the original files
  22. the original XG configured files didn`t possess this but this can only help
  23. Yamaha, no.. Stored here in LHA archive format..

  25. These SMFs should play  correctly  on any General MIDI (GM) or  GS synth or
  26. Soundcard..
